So, this is where Day 1 ended yesterday, 10th February for the Ararat vs Australia Challenge.
All things considered, my foot held up pretty well to the punishment I gave it for the day and it will be interesting to see what the coming days bring. I know my legs were quite stiff and sore as I hobbled out of bed to go to the loo this morning, but once I got moving, I felt pretty good. "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming" comes to mind, Hahaha!
This challenge is off to an exceptional start, but the same can not be said for the other town challenge currently underway.
Much to everyone's disgust, the 'Active Ararat Challenge' has been managed quite poorly and some people have had not problem with voicing their opinion about it on the "pebble page" on Facebook. Myself included! With no notice given on when it was due to start and then invites sent out 36 hours late, we are kind of left wondering, what the heck is going on!
No one seems to have any idea who is in charge of this challenge and I wonder if the person in charge even knows 1. What they are doing, and 2. That they are actually in charge?
I agree with what some of the Pebblers have been saying, that Sunday's steps should be eliminated and the challenge reset from the Monday. But unfortunately, Alere and the challenge coordinator seem to be completely un-contactable!
I have tried to contact 'Healthy Together' and Alere, myself, with no response and infact, the Alere email was not even a contactable address! The email bounced back!
I have half a mind to write an email to The Biggest Loser and let them know what has happened and what is going on, it's not very good advertising for them, after all, being sponsored by Alere...
Anyhow, there is more Stepping to be done, so I will leave it at that and just keep plodding along, doing what I can.
And, if you're in the Pebble Challenge, all the best! Keep moving! You're lapping all the ones still sitting on the couch!
xx Krystal
